Colum is the Student Engagement Officer at Marino Institute of Education in Dublin, Ireland. With over twenty years’ experience across Irish higher education, he has led initiatives in student success, belonging, and international engagement at institutions including Dublin City University and Trinity College Dublin. Colum is a passionate advocate for making education more human, focusing on empowering student voice and designing systems that serve people, not the other way around.




Karin Berthiaume

Colby-Sawyer College


Karin is the Director of Student Success and Retention at Colby-Sawyer College, where she leads initiatives that foster student engagement, belonging, and persistence. With a career spanning leadership in residence life, campus activities, and student development, Karin brings a lifelong dedication to creating supportive, connected learning communities. Her extensive experience across higher education and youth programs reflects a deep commitment to helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.



Louise Banahene

University of Leeds


Louise is an experienced higher education leader dedicated to advancing equity, student success, and lifelong learning. As Director of Student Success and Educational Engagement at The University of Leeds, she leads strategic initiatives that enhance access, inclusion, and employability across the student journey. Recognized with an MBE for services to Higher Education and a Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, Louise brings deep expertise in policy, strategy, and organizational change that fosters meaningful impact across the sector.



Orlando White

University of Colorado Colorado Springs


Orlando is the Associate Director of Residence Life and Housing at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. With over 17 years of progressively responsible experience across diverse higher education settings, Orlando brings deep expertise in student affairs, residential education, and community development. His career spans leadership roles at institutions including Stanford University, the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, the The Art Institute of Philadelphia , Fashion Institute of Technology, and Colorado State University Pueblo, where he has led large-scale programs and supervised professional and student staff. Passionate about fostering welcoming living and learning environments, Orlando is dedicated to creating spaces that affirm students’ multiple identities and promote belonging, growth, and success across the college experience and beyond.
